We are family of individuals that choose to abide in Jesus. It's our desire to help you experience the fullness of living in Jesus Christ for yourself too!
In 2022, we began a new journey as Abide. Through much study and prayer together, we felt the Lord saying that He's calling us to abide in Him. The call is found in John chapter 15, verses 5-8.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."
In this process, Jesus gave us three pillars to help form a trellis (or guide) for the type of community He wanted us to be. You can read more below:
As we abide in Jesus, we see that we are called to become a people that value the Sabbath Rest, that we must take time to cultivate our relationship with Jesus through the study of the Word, and that we would grow with Jesus through regular Prayer and Fasting.
As we are connected to Jesus and bearing MUCH fruit (we thrive), we believe that we will see the Holy Spirit moving through believers in all of His gifts and power. (Holy Spirit Gifts & Empowerment), our desire for community and fellowship will grow, and that we will all be contributors to the ministry of Jesus.
As we begin to abide and thrive in Jesus, then we will naturally begin to multiply. One way we do this is through ongoing Discipleship. He commanded that we go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19). Another way we can produce fruit and multiply is through Home Groups. Time has shown that relationships and connection looks different than it did in the last 100 years. Something that is alarmingly profound is that the ways of old are new again. The early church primarily met in homes, not church buildings.
What does this mean for you? You're always welcome here! Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the family.
